Every summer my father built something – whether it was a gazebo, tool shed, chicken coop, kitchen addition or a new porch. Every winter he spent dreaming, sketching and drawing out his future project. And every winter I dreamed, sketched, and draw alongside my own version of that, and every summer I helped him build it. And upon completion my dad usually invited the neighbors and relatives and we all celebrated.
When time came to choose a profession, it was not a question – I knew what inspires me and what I’d love to be doing. I went to study to Volgograd State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. In 1996 my family and I immigrated to United States. After few years of working odd jobs I decided to continue my education here. I went to Spokane Community College to study Architectural Technology. Before I even graduated I landed a job with local design company. In 2003 I obtained my own business license and started AK Home Design. In 2013 I incorporated and here it is – Spokane House Plans, Inc – to serve you and your dreams.
I named my company Spokane House Plans because I just love the Inland Northwest. I work, play and raise my children here. I enjoy local nature, our four seasons, our culture and our NW architecture – urban or suburbs, lodge, craftsman, or with touch of industrial, modern or traditional, acreage living or lakefront, green and sustainable natural materials – wood, timbers, stone.
I love helping people and I’d love to help you to design your home, whether it’s a family house, lake cabin, empty nester, or anything else. My prices are reasonable, turn-around time is fast, and dedication is coming from the heart.
Thank you and God bless!
